Whole Foods Market in Stamford, CT seeks a skilled Meat Cutter to cut, platter, and merchandise beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry. You will prepare specialty meats, maintain quality standards, and mentor trainee cutters while delivering exceptional customer service and upholding safety and sanitation rules.

You should be able to lift 50 pounds, work in a cold environment, and adapt to a fast-paced schedule, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises meat products.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise.
• Checks product to meet quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program and prevents spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and supports suggestive selling.
• Ensures accurate signs and pricing; performs opening/closing duties.
• Reports safety hazards and follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
