Job summary

Whole Foods Market in New Jersey seeks an experienced Meat Cutter to cut, prep, display, and sell beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry. You will create specialty products, maintain quality, and support training for trainees while delivering friendly service to customers and team members.

You must meet WFM standards for cleanliness and safety, manage time well, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises meat products per standards.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready, cured meats).
• Maintains quality and freshness, monitors spoilage and sanitation.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s) and supports training.
• Provides courteous customer service and suggestive selling.
• Ensures proper signs and pricing; follows safety procedures.
