Job summary

ShopRite of Farmington Ave in Bristol, CT is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk (Grade A) to deliver a great customer experience in the Meat Department. You will cut and trim meat to company specifications, maintain a clean, organized department, and assist customers with product selection in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires ability to lift up to 90 lbs, operate meat department equipment, and stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English and understand basic directions.
• Good math skills for pricing and measurement tasks.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Cut and trim meat according to company specifications.
• Rotate products in meat cases and remove outdated items.
• Assist customers with selection of meat items and respond politely.
• Load and unload merchandise; operate related equipment.
• Follow safety, QA, and departmental procedures and policies.
