Job summary

ShopRite of Bridgeton is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to deliver a great customer experience in the Meat Department. You will cut meat, prepare products, and help customers select items while maintaining department standards and safety.

The role requires lifting up to 90 lbs, operating department equipment, and adhering to sanitation and QA policies in a refrigerated environment. Eligibility begins at 18+ and the schedule may include overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills for prices and quantities.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. and work in refrigerated environments.
• Ability to operate meat department equipment (band saws, grinders, wrapping machines, knives).
• Ability to communicate courteously with customers and assist with selections.
• Ability to work with others and maintain flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Keep sanitation and QA standards across surfaces and equipment.
• Cut and trim meat according to company specifications.
• Rotate and stock meat in cases and remove outdated products.
• Assist customers and provide friendly service in the Meat Department.
