Job summary

ShopRite in Vernon, CT seeks a Meat Cutter Clerk to deliver excellent customer service in the Meat Department. Position entails cutting meat, preparing products, and maintaining a clean, organized department per company standards.

The role requires physical ability to lift 35–90 lbs and work in refrigerated areas, with duties in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a part-time non-union position with opportunities for benefits and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Ability to stand, lift 35 lbs. regularly and up to 90 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with food products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Cut and trim meat to company specs and rotate products in cases.
• Assist customers and provide friendly service throughout shifts.
• Follow safety, QA, and company policies and complete required trainings.
