Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter who will manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to our high standards. You will support inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

This fast-paced role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a passion for excellence. A certification within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform is required within 90 days of hire, along with a minimum of two years’ meat-cutting experience.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items and assist guests across departments.
• Handle, slice, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards.
• Monitor case temperatures and storage areas for quality and safety.
• Enforce department practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness.
• Adhere to safety requirements and food safety policies.
