Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Phoenix is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation and display of meat products while delivering friendly, efficient service. You will ensure quality, assist trainees, and uphold health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include merchandising, customer service, and maintaining product freshness in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail meat is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successfully completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, cured meats).
• Checks product meets WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and suggests offerings to customers.
