Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Meat Cutter to keep our meat cases stocked, labeled, and visually appealing while delivering friendly service to shoppers. You will follow department guidelines, handle knives and equipment safely, and work with the team to maintain freshness and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in grocery/meat retail, and a willingness to learn. Experience with packaging, weight measurement, and seafood or meat prep is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in grocery/meat.
• 2–3 years grocery retail meat experience preferred.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship completed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock meat cases with appealing presentation and proper pricing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of meat department areas.
• Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates; assist customers at counter.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and meat processing equipment safely.
