Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Greenfield, MA is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to engage with Members, cut and wrap meat products, and maintain high standards of safety and sanitation. You will help prepare specialty cuts and ensure the case showcases optimal product selection for Members.

The role requires previous meat cutting experience, a training or apprenticeship, and familiarity with wrapping machines.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood and make recommendations.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards; weigh, package, wrap, and label as required.
• Maintain display and inventory of meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases per standards.
• Ensure sanitation and safety within the meat department and assist with other duties as needed.
