Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Salem, NH, is seeking a meat department team member to assist members, cut and prepare meats, and maintain high sanitation standards. You will weigh, package, and display products while supporting other departments as needed.

The role requires prior meat cutting experience, a training program, and ability to operate wrapping machines. Includes strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and member service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grills, and processes fresh meats to company standards; weighs, packages, wraps and labels products.
• Maintains meat department stocking and sanitation; ensures quality and inventory levels.
• Receives and inspects deliveries; stores meat, poultry, seafood, and cheeses.
• Maintains club policies and procedures and supports other departments as needed.
• Exhibits safety and teamwork to deliver excellent member service.
