A food processing company based in New York is seeking a skilled Butcher responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat for grocery stores or restaurants. Ideal candidates will have experience in meat cutting, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with USDA guidelines. This role requires the ability to operate meat-cutting equipment, ensure quality control, and maintain a sanitary workspace. The position involves compliance with safety protocols and working under varied temperature conditions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and focus on customer service.
• Familiarity with USDA guidelines.
• Ability to operate band saws and other meat-cutting equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately.

Responsabilités

• Operates meat processing equipment.
• Uses hand tools and power equipment to cut meat to specifications.
• Tenderizes, packages, weighs, labels, and prices meat products.
• Vacuum pack meat for distribution.
• Evaluates quality control and ensures workspace is kept sanitary.
• Ensures products comply with USDA guidelines.
• Receives and stores meat when it is delivered.
• Notifies manager of any problems that may affect meat product quality.
• Meets productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.

Connaissances

Formation

At least one year of experience in meat cutting
