Job summary

Raley's in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Meat Cutter to operate in our Meat and Seafood departments, delivering quality cuts, accurate labeling and great customer service. You will stock, merchandise and assist with ready-to-go products, maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

You will use knives, saws, wrapping machines and grinders, while following pricing and merchandising guidelines. This role is safety sensitive and involves helping customers with their orders and needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
• Safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, cutting, grinding, slicing, weighing, wrapping and labeling according to quality, quantity, product freshness and food safety standards.
• Control product shrink and inventory expenses through proper handling, cutting, trimming and wrapping techniques.
• Sell products by providing customers with excellent and helpful product information.
• Use meat department tools and equipment safely, including knives, saws, wrapping machine, tenderizer, patty maker and grinder.
• Ensure correct pricing, signage, and placement of products.
• Keep meat counter, work areas and service cases clean, neat and well-stocked.
• Assist with preparation of ready-to-go meat products and deli meats/cheeses.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
