Job summary

Raley's is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform day-to-day operations in the Meat and Seafood departments, ensuring quality, safety and exceptional customer service. The role involves cutting, weighing, labeling, merchandising, and assisting with stocking and prep of ready-to-eat products.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, efficient service, accurate signage, and a clean, well-organized meat counter. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap and label according to quality, quantity, product freshness and food safety standards.
• Control product shrink and inventory costs through proper handling, cutting and wrapping techniques.
• Sell products by providing helpful product information to customers.
• Use meat department tools and equipment safely and according to safety standards.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked meat counter and service areas.
• Assist with preparation of ready-to-go meat products and deli items.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
