The role emphasizes accurate cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and helping customers with product information. You’ll work with department tools in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment to support store

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department operations and food safety.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices in a retail meat department.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap and label products per quality and safety standards.
• Control shrink and inventory through proper handling and wrapping techniques.
• Assist customers with product information and recommendations.
• Safely operate meat department tools and equipment and follow safety standards.
• Display goods according to department guidelines and merchandising practices.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, stocked meat counter and service cases.
