Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Ocala, FL is seeking a Meat Department team member to cut, wrap, and merchandise meats, assist in seafood and deli areas, and keep sanitation and safety standards. You’ll rotate products and help with special meat cuts for Members.

We offer weekly pay and a $1,000 sign-on bonus ($500 at 6 months, $500 at 1 year), plus benefits such as health plans, 401(k), and stock purchase options.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood and makes recommendations.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels meat cuts.
• Ensures the meat department is well stocked and clean.
• Rotates products according to expiration dates and maintains inventory.
