Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products at our Los Altos location. You will ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while supporting store programs and health standards.

Responsibilities include knife skills, product prep, stocking, and maintaining sanitation. Must promote our core values and work in a fast-paced environment with a strong team focus.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats).
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
