Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Meat Cutter to prepare and display fresh meat products and to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to customers. You will follow food safety standards, manage stock rotation, and assist in keeping the department organized and clean.

Role requires excellent cutting skills, high quality standards, and a customer-focused approach within a fast-paced retail environment. Some shifts may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successfully completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, or an equivalent training program.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven ready products, cured meats).
• Maintains sampling program and monitors spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Ensures signs and pricing accuracy and maintains clean, sanitary environment.
