Joe V’s Smart Shop meat department is seeking a Meat Cutter I to maintain fresh, well-stocked displays and deliver excellent customer service. You will cut, prepare, tray, and merchandise meat daily while upholding food safety standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires 18+ and preferred retail/food experience, with ability to work flexible hours. Training through Meat Cutter Academy is expected, and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Retail market or food experience preferred.
• Knowledge of JVSS Meat Cutter training aids and SOPs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trims, trays meat for display according to standards.
• Operates grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer.
• Weighs, wraps, labels product packages for sale.
• Rotates product and ensures proper storage and freshness.
• Provides great customer service and maintains sanitation.
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases; complies with procedures.
