Job summary

Price Chopper is seeking a meat cutter to provide fast, friendly service while preparing and displaying quality meat products. You will cut, wrap, weigh and label merchandise, ensuring proper safety and sanitation as you work within 5S standards.

The role requires 6–12 months of related experience, the ability to pass a cutting test, and strong communication. Training and adherence to corporate procedures accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.

Responsibilities

• Consistently work within to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
• Responsible for cutting and preparing meat using knives, saws, cubers and grinders.
• Responsible for ensuring proper wrapping, weighing and labeling of meat merchandise.
• Responsible for adhering to all corporate meat department procedures and standards (i.e.: case layout and trim specifications).
• Responsible for adhering to proper sanitation and temperature guidelines (i.e.: corporate and state inspection standards).
• Responsible for receiving all meat products delivered at store location (i.e.: DSD and warehouse deliveries).
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
