Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop in Texas is seeking a Meat Cutter I to help provide fresh products in a fast-paced, customer-focused department.

You will cut, trim, and merchandise meat daily, operate equipment, ensure sanitation and safety, and support cross-functional store operations.

Preferred candidates will have retail meat experience and certification from Meat Cutting Academy, with a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to work in a retail environment.
• Retail market or food experience preferred.
• Successful completion of Meat Cutting Academy certification.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, tray meat for display according to company standards.
• Operate grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer.
• Weigh, wrap, label product packages for sale.
• Rotate product in meat cooler and on sales floor; ensure proper storage.
• Provide great customer service and maintain shelves for best product quality.
