Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member to cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats while assisting with daily operations. You will help with labeling, inventory, and customer service to support our members.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood. Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by members.
• Cuts, weighs, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in the meat department.
• Receives and inspects meat deliveries and ensures quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including stocking and rotating items.
