Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Meat Cutter to cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh meats and assist in deli operations. You’ll maintain sanitation and help Members with special requests and product selections.

Required: a training program or apprenticeship, prior meat cutting experience, and 18+ years old; wrapping machines experience is a plus. BJ’s offers weekly pay, membership benefits, PTO, health options, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have completed a training program or apprenticeship.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards; weigh, wrap, and label products.
• Ensure meat cases and displays are stocked and attractive; rotate by expiration dates.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the meat department and cooler.
• Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery; assist in other departments as needed.
• Adhere to club policies and maintain regular, dependable attendance.
