Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Department position. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including special orders for members.

Maintain sanitation, quality, and accurate labeling while supporting other departments as needed. We seek candidates with prior meat cutting experience, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and a commitment to safety and member service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood and prepares special cuts as requested.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards and weighs, packages, labels as required.
• Maintains meat case inventory and ensures cases are stocked and displayed properly.
• Rotates products by expiration dates and disposes of damaged items per guidelines.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas in the meat department.
