Job summary

Food City is seeking a dedicated team member for the meat department in Alabama. The role involves cutting and merchandising fresh meat, assisting with ordering, receiving and displaying products, grinding and slicing meat, and maintaining clean and organized display cases.

You will rotate stock, ensure correct dating, and uphold HACCP standards while delivering courteous customer service. Applicants should be able to meet physical, mental, and visual demands and follow verbal or written

Qualifications

• Meat cutting experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine tasks and interact with various people daily.
• On-site work attendance to adhere to company time policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind meat and slice meat.
• Help organize cooler and stock cooler.
• Rotate product and maintain display case cleanliness.
• Maintain neat display areas and correct product codes.
• Sanitize department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
• Assist in enforcing HACCP program.
