Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team. You will cut, wrap, weigh and label fresh meats, assist in the deli area, and help maintain sanitation and inventory.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members by recommending cuts and answering questions about meat, poultry and seafood.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards; weigh, wrap, and label products.
• Maintain meat department inventory and ensure cases are stocked and rotated by expiration date.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and work areas in the meat department.
• Follow club policies and procedures and work cross-department as needed.
