Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Salem, NH is seeking a meat department team member to handle cutting, grinding, wrapping, and merchandising of fresh and processed meats. You will weigh, package, and label products to company standards while maintaining sanitation and safety in the department.

The role requires an apprenticeship or training program completion, prior meat cutting experience, and familiarity with wrapping machines.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards; weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
