Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Three years previous experience working in meat market or retail grocery store preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and the ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise and supplies weighing ≤100 pounds without assistance.
• Stands and/or walks continuously throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Meat Department Operations: support readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, department financial goals, cleanliness, and safe use of equipment.
• Meat Department Replenishment & Inventory Procedures: assist in ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclamation/returns, damages and reworks, supply use, inventory prep.
• Merchandising & Sales Floor Standards: proper stocking, rotation, signing, displays, sampling, and department procedures.
• Food Production and Processing: follow food safety guidelines; ensure correct packaging, weighing, labeling and pricing.
• Equipment and Tools: adhere to equipment procedures, including cleaning and maintenance.
• Problem Solving: define issues and use critical thinking to obtain answers.
• Safety/Quality Orientation: produce high quality products while ensuring safety.
