Job summary

Harps is seeking a Meat Clerk to support daily meat department operations, including readiness, staffing, pricing, inventory, and cleanliness. The role emphasizes customer service and adherence to safety procedures within the department.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year previous experience in meat market of retail grocery store preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and respond with flexibility to shifting priorities.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Moves, lifts and places merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Regular standing and walking during shift.
• Occasional exposure to weather conditions and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Support meat department operations including department readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, and department goals.
• Support replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing and accounting, back stock, reclamation and returns.
• Assist in merchandising and sales floor standards including stocking, signing, displays, sampling and department procedures.
