Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc. is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team in Seekonk, MA. You will cut, prepare, and merchandise meat products while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining wellness and safety standards.

Role requires 14+ months of retail meat experience, completion of the WFM Butcher Apprentice Program, and the ability to train others. This is a full-time, on-site position with flexible scheduling expectations.

Qualifications

• Retail meat cutting experience preferred.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry.
• Prepares specialty meat items and verifies quality standards.
• Maintains sampling programs and prevents spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Ensures accurate signs and pricing; performs opening/closing duties.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee and supports team members.
• Complies with health, safety, weights & measures, and sanitation rules.
