Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Meat Cutter 3 at Store 005 – Mykawa in Houston. Under direct supervision, you will break, cut and prepare meat products to company standards and customer orders, and assist with special orders.

You will work with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine items to cut, and perform very heavy lifting. A Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.

• Ability to perform very heavy lifting and stand for long periods.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required.

Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products, using hand tools and power equipment, in the variety, size, quantity, and trim prescribed by company standards. Meat products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers. Works with customers to take special orders. Works with Meat Clerks and Meat Manager to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to perform very heavy lifting, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
