Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Meat Cutter to break, cut, and prepare meat products for display or customer orders in a fast-paced grocery environment. You will use hand tools and power equipment under store standards, and collaborate with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine items to cut.

This role requires the ability to perform very heavy lifting, bend, stand, stoop for long periods, and meet physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Heavy lifting, bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods as described in the physical requirements.
• Experience handling customer orders and assisting with special requests.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all food preparation/work areas.

Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products, using hand tools and power equipment, in the variety, size, quantity, and trim prescribed by company standards. Meat products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers. Works with customers to take special orders. Works with Meat Clerks and Meat Manager to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to perform very heavy lifting, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
