Job summary

Meat Cutter 2- Gateway El Super #62 is supervised and responsible for breaking, cutting and preparing meat products using hand tools and power equipment according to company standards. Products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers, and special orders are accommodated.

The role requires working with customers and with Meat Clerks and Meat Manager to determine items to be cut, and the job includes heavy lifting, bending, standing and stooping as part of a fast-paced grocery store

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending, standing, and stooping.
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
• Meat products prepared for display or as ordered by customers.

Meat products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers. Works with customers to take special orders. Works with Meat Clerks and Meat Manager to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to perform very heavy lifting, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
