Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, headquartered in Marlborough, MA, is seeking candidates for its Meat Department. The role involves receiving, cutting, wrapping, and merchandising meat, poultry, and seafood to the club’s standards, while assisting members with product recommendations and special cuts.

Team members are expected to uphold safety, sanitation, and customer service standards, work with speed, and support club policies. A training/apprenticeship and prior meat-cutting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to Members by making recommendations regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
