Job summary

Saver Group is seeking a Meat Cutter to operate the meat department in line with company standards, driving sales and profitability while delivering top customer service.

You will trim and prepare standard cuts, inspect deliveries, maintain cold chain, and ensure sanitation. The role emphasizes quality, display appeal, and consistent adherence to policies.

Applicants should be reliable, able to lift heavy loads, and work well in a team within a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A lot policy
