Job summary

Saver Group in Irvine, Kentucky is looking for a Meat Cutter to ensure the meat department operates at top standards while maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service by adhering to the company's meat merchandising plan and maintaining high sanitation standards.

The role requires experience in using various tools and the ability to lift heavy items. This position plays a key role in the quality and presentation of meat products in our stores.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience using knives, wrappers, scales, and other power equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and packages meat according to company policies.
• Prepares meat cuts for display to attract customers.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Maintains sanitation and quality standards.

Job Summary

The Meat Cutter ensures the store’s meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Cutter delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan and trimming /preparing standard cuts of meat.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A lot policy

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
