Job summary

Saver Group, Inc is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure the store’s meat department operates at the highest standards. Responsibilities include cutting, packaging meat, and maintaining sanitation standards to maximize profitability and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience with knives and power equipment, must be at least 18 years old, and able to lift 50lbs. The role offers competitive benefits including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks and power equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates knives and equipment to cut/package meat according to procedures.
• Maintains attractive display of meat cuts.
• Receives and inspects meat deliveries.
• Ensures sanitation standards are met.

Job Summary

The Meat Cutter ensures the store’s meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Cutter delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan and trimming /preparing standard cuts of meat.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A lot policy

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
