Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club in Johnston, RI is seeking a Meat Department Team Member. You will receive, rotate, wrap and merchandise fresh and processed meats, assist with seafood and prepared foods, and help Members find products.

Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, stock cases, read production and performance information, and follow club policies. The role rewards teamwork, speed, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to our Members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• May grind hamburger meat.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
