Stater Bros. Markets is seeking a Meat Clerk in Lake Elsinore, CA to deliver G.O.A.T service—Greet, Observe, Assist, Thank—while ensuring fresh, well-stocked meat offerings and compliant labeling. You will support cutting, trimming, packaging, and inventory management in a fast-paced department.

The role emphasizes food safety, sanitation, and teamwork to maintain a clean, organized workspace and provide friendly customer service across shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Valid Food Handler / Health Card.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Assist the customer with purchases of products and other services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, etc.
• Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for all meat department products abiding by company policies and food safety standards.
• Maintain proper supply of products in the cases and packaged deli through rotation and display per standards.
• Clean up wrapping, scaling, and production equipment according to sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations, and company recipes.
• Grind meat and prepare specialty items such as kabobs and marinated cuts.
• Handle meat products safely and dispose of waste properly.
• Operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
