Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver G.O.A.T service, assist customers with meat selections, and ensure products are fresh, properly displayed, and priced correctly.

You will support daily department operations including cutting, trimming, packaging, labeling, and maintaining sanitation standards. The role involves stocking, rotating products, and assisting with inventory while upholding safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and service at all times.
• Excellent communication with customers and teammates.
• Basic math and reading skills for pricing, labels, inventory.
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Able to operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer's shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Assist customers with purchases and services like slicing, grinding, repackaging, and serving suggestions.
• Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for all meat products per policies and regulations.
• Maintain proper stock in cases and display per company standards and rotations.
• Clean up wrapping, scaling, and production equipment following sanitation procedures.
• Follow safety and food-safety regulations, proper storage and disposal of meat products.
• Grind meat and prepare specialty items (kabobs, marinated cuts, custom orders).
• Operate meat-cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Order products and inventories; collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other related duties as required.
