Stater Bros. Markets in Laguna Woods, CA is hiring a Meat Clerk to deliver G.O.A.T. service by assisting customers with meat selections, keeping displays fresh, and supporting daily meat department operations including cutting, trimming, packaging, and labeling.

You will help with inventory, maintain sanitation, operate meat-processing equipment safely, and work with the team to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food Handler/Health Card required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and teammates.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Assist the customer with purchases of products and services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions.
• Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for all meat department products in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain proper supply and display of meat products in cases and packaged deli per standards.
• Clean up wrapping, scaling, and production equipment per sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations, and company recipes.
• Grind meat and prepare specialty items such as kabobs, marinated cuts, and custom orders.
• Follow food safety regulations for handling, storage, and disposal of meat products.
• Operate knives, saws, grinders and other equipment safely.
• Order products and supplies, inventory as assigned.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth department operations and guest experience.
• All other related duties as required.
