Job summary

Salm Partners is seeking an Operator Blending to support meat formulation and blending for ready-to-eat sausages at our Denmark, WI facility. The role requires accurate formulation, adherence to GMP/USDA standards, and routine sanitation responsibilities.

You will work the 2-2-3 schedule from 6am to 6pm, with responsibilities across blending, labeling, and batch paperwork. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience in a USDA-regulated environment; strong math and computer skills

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months as a Backup Blender Operator.
• 3 years of experience in a USDA-regulated environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify production menu and formulation needs before start-up.
• Set up formulation and blending rooms for production.
• Identify spices and ingredients for blending; gather supplies to Seasoning Room.
• Log raw meat vat information and ingredients; load meat to blender.
• Add ingredients per recipe; monitor blend and perform checks for stuffing.
• Apply blend labels with date, quantity, and ingredients for lot traceability.
• Complete batch sheets and rework logs; follow GMP and USDA requirements.
• Disassemble and sanitize equipment between blends; perform sanitation duties.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack to move materials; provide backup assistance as needed.
