Job summary

Salm Partners is hiring for a Backup Blender Operator in Wisconsin. The role supports formulation and blending of ready-to-eat meat products, ensuring compliance with safety, SQF, quality, GMP and USDA standards.

The job requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in a USDA-regulated environment. Expect ladder-like training, long standing, and periodic overtime during a 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have solid verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret product specs and safety rules.
• Experience with Excel and ERP systems (MAS500).
• Math skills for recipe quantity calculations.

Responsibilities

• Verify production menu and parameters before start-up.
• Assemble and set up formulation and blending rooms.
• Identify spices and ingredients for blending and deliver to seasoning room.
• Log raw meat VAT information and ingredients for traceability.
• Load raw meat into blender and add ingredients per recipe.
• Monitor blend and perform checks for consistency during mixing.
