Job summary

The County of Door's ADRC kitchen is seeking a casual call position helper to prepare and package meals following ServSafe standards, assist with Meals on Wheels and congregate sites, and ensure reliable service to recipients.

You will coordinate with a team, maintain kitchen safety, rotate stock, and support inventory, with duties including sanitizing, labeling, and keeping a centralized recipe book; valid driver's license and ability to pass ServSafe within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a recognized Food Safety and Sanitation certification (e.g., ServSafe) within six months of hire and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals and sides according to menus approved by a RD, following ServSafe standards.
• Bathes, bakes, and prepares items to meet production needs for Meals on Wheels and congregate sites.
• Coordinates with team to package meals for delivery and service; may assist with transportation and distribution.
• Maintains kitchen areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, sanitized state daily.
• Rotates and inventories stock; assists with vendor deliveries and organization.
