Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties is seeking a Kitchen Site Assistant to assist with meal planning, preparation, and delivery through Meals On Wheels and related programs. The role may involve acting as lead cook in the absence of the Lead Cook and serving as primary meal delivery driver as required.

You will work under supervision, supporting kitchen operations, volunteers, and program staff while upholding safety, confidentiality, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate word-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
• Ability to operate a kitchen, read and follow recipes.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and maintain insurance.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ability to follow safety, health, food handling policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and delivery.
• Serve as kitchen lead in the absence of Lead Cook.
• Deliver meals to participants using a vehicle.
• Adhere to policies and standards for safety and food handling.
• Assist with kitchen clean-up and inventory tracking.
• Coordinate volunteers for kitchen assistance and meal delivery.
