Job summary

Council On Aging of Volusia County, Inc. in New Smyrna Beach, FL is seeking a Nutrition Coordinator to oversee daily operations of congregate dining and the Meals on Wheels program at our New Smyrna Beach location.

You may deliver meals when needed and will supervise staff and volunteers under the Programs Manager, Nutrition & Activities. You will manage meal ordering, client interactions, and essential paperwork while ensuring food safety standards are met and community outreach is active to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain ServSafe Florida food handler certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Order weekly congregate and home-delivered meals to minimize overage.
• Engage with clients to promote a positive, uplifting environment.
• Maintain accurate paperwork (assessments, rosters, logs, volunteer files, supply orders).
• Schedule Meals on Wheels and kitchen volunteers for efficient meal service.
• Review Food Safety Standards with volunteers quarterly.
• Coordinate Grab-n-Go and shelf-stable meals as needed.
• Deliver meals if no other staff/volunteer is available.
• Inspect the location twice per year for compliance.
