Job summary

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. in Spring Hill, FL is seeking a dedicated program assistant to support the Program Manager in coordinating nutritionally balanced meals, nutrition education and screenings for Floridians 60 years and older.

Services are provided at dining facilities to include senior centers and other community focal points. The role requires an associate degree in human services, strong organizational and communication skills, and a Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• One year experience with elder population.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and insurance.
• Background checks/clearance for working with vulnerable population.

Responsibilities

• Oversees client records, eligibility determinations, and data entry into relevant databases.
• Completes intake forms and refers clients to resources as needed.
• Coordinates and trains meal site staff/volunteers to meet health and safety guidelines.
• Provides monthly activity calendars and nutrition education materials to clients.
• Monitors meal counts and ensures proper paperwork at each meal site.
