Job summary
Osceola County Council On Aging, Inc. is seeking a professional to assess the needs of Meals on Wheels recipients and advocate for access to nutrition services. The role supports the MOW program and may assist the nutrition department as needed.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, gerontology or related field, with Florida Level 2 background check. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; valid driver's license and ability to travel within
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, gerontology or related field.
- Associates degree with related experience may be considered.
- Fluent in both verbal and written English and Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess client needs and determine eligibility for nutrition services and funding sources.
- Coordinate with MOW team for delivery routes and service commitments.
- Refer for Home and Community-Based Services as needed.
- Conduct assessments and annual reassessments for MOW recipients.
- Maintain MOW recipient and services data for nutrition databases.
- Assist with outreach and educate the public about MOW and nutrition services.
