Job summary

Columbus County, NC seeks a Nutrition Site Manager to oversee daily operations of congregate and home-delivered meal programs across one site, ensuring safe, nutritious meals for elderly and disabled residents.

You will supervise volunteers, maintain records, coordinate food safety and quality, and report to the Nutrition Program Supervisor with emphasis on sanitation, inventory control, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Ability to maintain positive connections with clients, families, volunteers, and the public.
• Understanding of the needs of elderly and disabled populations.
• Strong clerical skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.
• Requires frequent walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
• Must read extensive data, prepare reports, and operate a computer terminal.

Responsibilities

• Receive meals from vendors and verify that all food meets temperature and safety guidelines.
• Prepare food for on-site congregate dining and off-site home-delivered routes.
• Monitor vendor performance and report any shortcomings to the supervisor.
• Ensure facilities, equipment, and utensils are sanitized daily and in good condition.
• Train and supervise volunteers and part-time workers; resolve scheduling issues.
• Maintain accurate daily records of service activities and prepare monthly reports.
• Manage and order supplies to ensure the center is well-equipped.
