Job summary

The ADRC of the Lakeshore Nutrition Program is seeking a Meal Site Manager to help create a welcoming environment where older adults can enjoy nutritious meals, receive valuable nutrition education, and connect with others in their community.

Position Summary

The Dining Site Manager organizes, supervises, coordinates, and monitors all operations of the dining site, including volunteers. This position ensures the site operates in accordance with the purpose and guidelines established by federal, state, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the distribution of meals to dining site participants and home-delivered meal recipients.
  • Create and organize home-delivered meal routes.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise home-delivered meal and kitchen volunteers.
  • Instruct volunteers in safe food-serving procedures and appropriate food safety precautions.
  • Coordinate and support volunteers, recognizing that volunteers are essential to the successful operation of the dining site.
  • Maintain accurate records, including:
  • Meals served
  • Donations collected
  • Dining site reservation sheets
  • Inventory and order records
  • Daily food temperatures
  • Other required site documentation
  • Monitor daily dining site operations and ensure compliance with applicable guidelines and procedures.
  • Promote a positive, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere for older adults and volunteers.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working with older adults and volunteers. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities are important for success in this role.

Requirements

A high school diploma and whatever combination of additional education and work experience provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. A valid Wisconsin driver's license is required.
