Job summary

COA Youth & Family Centers is seeking a full-time Kitchen Assistant in Milwaukee, primarily at the Riverwest Center. You will assist with food preparation, meal distribution to classrooms, and kitchen cleaning, while complying with CACFP/SFSP standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification, and a willingness to engage with youth from underserved communities. Duties include safe food handling and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience or desire to interact with youth from underserved areas.
• Preferred: Experience in cooking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen with food prep, distribution, and cleaning.
• Ensure portions are correct and utensils are sanitized.
• Distribute meals to classrooms and assist in daily meal service.
